The Day Of The Move
- Have copies of your Passport and/or Work Visa available to present to your Highland Worldwide Consultant. (this applies to International moves only)
- Arrange to be at home when the movers arrive and throughout the process of moving out.
- Accompany the supervisor on a tour of your home to indicate the goods that will be moved. Especially point
out items that are not to be shipped. If these are already clearly marked, you simply have to advise them of
the packing system you used.
- Prior to loading, an inventory will be taken of all the pieces to be moved. Each piece will be tagged with an
inventory number and any pre-existing damage will be noted on the inventory. Should you have any questions relating to the
descriptions indicated, please discuss these with the supervisor of the packing crew, or your Highland Worldwide Coordinator.
- After loading, but before the driver leaves, make a final tour of your home to assure that nothing has been overlooked.
- Keep a copy of the signed inventory and all shipping documents for your records.
- Smile and relax. You have done everything you can to make sure that your move proceeds smoothly. Have a safe trip to your new home.
